From Africa to China

A visitor tips us that Feedity was recently mentioned at “The 2008 Africa Media Leadership Conference” by Prof Guy Berger, as part of his presentation on “Digital Literacy for African Newsroom.”

Its good to notice that RSS feeds are spreading even in developing & under-developed nations. Its fairly important too, because the delivery of information is crucial for a regions social, economic, and technological advancement.

Hopping on to the other side of the world, even before television channels and news portals were covering the devastating earthquake in China, RSS feeds from various sources (specially Twitter) were able to notify the subscribers world over as to what has happened.

In the tragic event of a major earthquake in China, the Feedity team will be donating to Red Cross for them to help survivors and other disaster victims rebuild their communities and their lives. We request Feedity users and our blog visitors to contribute and support relief efforts in China.
